2 Hands Work 2GATHER
Knitters and crochéters use both hands actively.
Tom Hanks says it takes 130 repetitions
for muscle memory to kick in.
With a few adjustments to your crochet muscle
memory, you can shirret. Practice
and you'll be rewarded with speed.

Use a 'textbook' Left-hand tension. When
the cord is taut over the index finger,
the stitch stays on the hook and the
middle finger and thumb are free. They
reach over in front of the hook and pull the
fabric fold off the needle and onto the stitch.

The Concept
Baste strips of fabric and they turn into folds.

as if they were continuous. There is no sewing.
You use up even the tiniest scraps
and save the 1/2 inch leftover triangles
for pillow stuffing !
A ShiRRéT™ stitch is a crochet stitch made with cord
+ a fold that is pulled off the needle.
Just like crochet, to start you make a slip loop with cord.
You don't see the crochét stitches on most ShiRRéT
but they keep it together.
